My Media Diet

A vast majority of my media diet consists of listening to OPB while driving, or sitting around the house. While noticeably left-leaning, they at least maker an attempt at showing stories from all sides, and they do not tend to dramatize or exaggerate most things I have heard from them. On the occasions that I have personally investigated their sources, I have found them to be very reliable. My second largest source of news is probably Imgur, although that is by no means my intention on the site. While browsing for random humorous things, it is rather frequent that I stumble upon some post or another pertaining to recent news. Invariably, if I find it remotely interesting I will check the provided source, if there is one, and then probe the internet myself using the almighty power of google. Intro

Hello, as you might be able to tell, my name is Tré. I am a lifelong nerd, fledgling political advocate, and food junky. I am currently at LBCC with the hopes to transfer to OSU, followed hopefully by figuring out what to do with the rest of my life. Math, science, economics, politics, and paleontology are all topics that I surprisingly find fun to research in my free time. On weekends I play Dungeons & Dragons, do homework, and sometimes take road trips if life allows. Media is incredibly interesting to me because people are interesting to me, and media serves as a sort of snapshot, or summary of a people and culture. You can learn a lot about people by watching their media, just as people can learn a lot from watching media themselves. At least, that's the idea.
