Internet Use

My girlfriend and I have attempted somewhat successfully to limit the amount we use our phones just before bed. It is better for our ability to sleep, and does help facilitate more meaningful conversation between the two of us. Overall, it has not been too large of a problem in other areas though.
I currently have 5 games installed on my phone, and as for my computer, I will go by steam games alone, because trying to account for all of my games would be an incredible challenge. I currently have 18 of the 143 games that I own on steam installed on my computer. Of those, a full half of them are either building or exploration based, examples including ARK: Survival Evolved, Subnautica, Terraria, and Portal Knights. I very much enjoy the feeling of exploration and building, both of which are things I would like to translate more into my real life, but often cost significantly more to do than just buying a game for it.In a week, I probably spend around 10-14 hours playing video games. I pretty much never use any form of social media. Most of my gaming I do either single player, or with friends who I hang out with in person on a regular basis, so I am not really a part of a "gaming community" online in any fashion. I don't really feel I am a part of any community online. I much more enjoy face to face personal interaction.

Fake News

The way our president attacks our media as "fake news" is a total disgrace. That being said, he is not completely wrong. The news should probably be a bit more careful, and certainly needs to work on removing bias, but they are not spouting off completely false stories or having made up sources anything like what Donald Trump seems to think. The biggest and most blatant example is the Russian election meddling. The evidence is there. It is all clear as day. He has numerous security and intelligence officials telling him repeatedly the extent of the problem, and he almost certainly gets shown even more of the issue than we see, and yet he regularly denies, or at least muddies the clarity of the entire issue. My Media Diet

A vast majority of my media diet consists of listening to OPB while driving, or sitting around the house. While noticeably left-leaning, they at least maker an attempt at showing stories from all sides, and they do not tend to dramatize or exaggerate most things I have heard from them. On the occasions that I have personally investigated their sources, I have found them to be very reliable. My second largest source of news is probably Imgur, although that is by no means my intention on the site. While browsing for random humorous things, it is rather frequent that I stumble upon some post or another pertaining to recent news. Invariably, if I find it remotely interesting I will check the provided source, if there is one, and then probe the internet myself using the almighty power of google. Agents of Shield

Yesterday at around 5:00 p.m. I watched Agents of Shield season 4 finally, episode 22 "World's End" on Netflix. It's the first real superhero show that I have watched, the main plot of the show is about a secret agency working to protect the world from unusual threats, for the last several seasons a major one being quelling conflict between "inhumans", people with special mutant powers, and those that fear them. The plot for this particular episode is incredibly complicated, and really makes very little sense unless you have seen more of the show, but I will try and put it as simply as I can. Obvious spoiler alert! Ophelia, a woman with superpowers who used to be an artificially intelligent robot, but grew herself a real body, is plotting to incite more tension between inhumans and humans, and use the ensuing chaos and fear to try and take over the world because her boyfriend dumped her.
